TESTIMONIALS FROM TREASURED CLIENTS
|
Denise G., New Jersey, writes:
"When I saw the picture of Ron Edwards and his Arm Thing in the March 2007 issue of the MDA/ALS News Magazine, I noticed that his hands looked like mine. Since I was having difficulty feeding myself I thought that the Arm Thing could be very useful for me. My husband called immediately and within a few days I was practicing feeding myself with my new arm support. I find that it features just the right amount of balance and friction so I can pivot my arm down to my plate and up to my mouth. After a week I felt that I had mastered the basics of the Arm Thing. I am able to use both a fork and a spoon and I use my other hand to help move food on to my utensils. It took some determination along with trial and error to get the position of my arm in the device and its location relative to my plate right, but it was well worth it. I am grateful for people like Linda Edwards and her husband Ron who have the vision and the determination to make life better for people like me."
Denise was diagnosed with ALS in June of 2006. Since then her husband Doug has retired in order to care for her and they have moved into an apartment in a senior living community.

Bill W., Washington, writes:
"Joanna and I just got home to Kennewick, Washington, Monday. We picked up our mail and got my new ARM THING. I have had a chance to use it here in the motorhome a few times now and I am getting use to it already. We went out to lunch yesterday and I did not take my unit and man, was that a mistake. Back to eating with my elbows on the table and you know that is not the right thing to do, according to MOM'S upbringing."
"I have some friends that might be able to use this device for eating and other things so if you don't mind I am going to recommend they try your "ARM THING". I know already I am not going to eat without it again, no matter where it is I eat."
"Tell Ron, he is very lucky to have such a talented spouse he is married to. Your device is going to go a long ways in my opinion. There are so many people out there that this is going to help bring back there dignity and self assurance. Not to mention the ease it gives people like me and Ron and all the other deserving people that have been struck with an inability to function in the so called normal manner."
"God Bless you Linda,"
